Join us for a discussion on “Immigration: Fact or Fiction”

DYM USA is hosting a discussion on the topic of Immigration with a spotlight on the truth of the situation, both nationally and locally, and the untruths which are often spread about the issue.

Title: Immigration: Fact or Fiction

Date: Thursday, January 20th, 2022

Time: 7:30 PM Eastern

Our speaker will be Sister Margaret Rose Smyth, a Dominican Sister of Amityville, NY. She is the founder and Director of the North-Fork Spanish Apostolate where she has ministered for the past 25 years.

Established in 1996 the North Fork Spanish Apostolate is a catalyst for social change on Island’s East Long End. Collaborating with government agencies; not-for-profits and community members seeking lasting solutions. The organization’s website lists 11 broad categories of support it provides — everything from health care education to parenting skills workshops to providing legal protection in civil matters — and they run a thrift shop and food pantry, too. NFSA has enhanced the lives of thousands of immigrant women and children. NFSA helps build integrated communities by empowering low-income people on Long Island, particularly immigrants living or working on the East End.

The discussion will be held virtually. Zoom details will be sent out via email.

Please know that ALL are welcome!
